The name Ravissante (pronounced as rah-viss-sant) means Ravishingly Beautiful, in French. It is aptly chosen because of our belief that every woman is ravishingly beautiful and it is our aim to make women beautiful, both inside and out.

Madame Ella Bache was a curious, passionate, innovative woman. Her taste for the avant-garde, her expertise and her respect for skin, still inspires us today!

A Taste for Expertise and Respect
Ella Bache was a pioneer, as early as 1936, she invented her first fruit-based creame, Creme Tomate, to brighten the complexion. Those days in France, woman would cut a tomato in half and rub their cheeks and foreheads with it, and they had very luminous complexions.
